Trice Racing Question

What adjustments, if any, should be made to the pipcount before applying the Trice racing formula?
The position below is a relatively large count, but the leader has two checkers off.
If leaders pip count is > 62 Trice Number= leader count/10 + 1 round up
If Count Difference < Trice Number — Take
If Count Difference +3 > Trice Number – Double
If Count Difference + 2 > Trice Number – Redouble
So Double / Take seems correct.
But ... if I make Ward adjustments, which I believe Trice implies in his book ... then I would add 4 pips to the Trailer or takeaway 4 pips from the leader. Then, I would get Double / Pass.
Confused.
