Gnu Backgammon FREE – program download and installation. This is a great program (with respect to performance) to improve your game. It can play and analyze. Its main drawback is that the user interface is not as nice as the Snowie or ExtremeGammon interface and it is less intuitive to use. Many top players use GNU and Snowie.

Snowie Backgammon – program download and installation. This (Snowie 4 Professional) is a fine prgram that you can PURCHASE (current download price: $365). An good tool, especially for money players serious about improving their backgammon game through analysis and rollouts.

Re: Extreme Gammon, since I am the XG team, and although I have no financial interest in the product, it may be best if someone else adds a few lines about it at the USBGF site. But for info's sake.. XG costs $50 for the initial computer and can be put on additional computers for $25 each.

I will be happy to add my description of XG for USBGF if Rod says OK. .. neilkaz ..
