Neil: Thanks.

Tim: good points both: there should be a reference link to the evidence, and there should be some explanation that the increase in accuracy is, well, rather small, isn't it? Just a few ELO points? And also still tentative (?) -- have any head-to-head studies been done?

Gregg:

I think all three bots are excellent, so I said that, and then tried to think of one or two important differences they have, without attempting to write a review.

What do you think Snowie does better than the other bots that's worth a mention?

For me, I don't think Snowie is easier to use. One feature I do like that Gnubg does not have is the one-click $/GS/GG/DMP estimates, but I thought that was kind of technical to mention, and I don't think it's all that useful. Most other features that I use and can think of offhand, for instance, the ability to use different match tables, persuade me in Gnubg's favor. A second nice Snowie feature is that you can easily tell the bot to rollout multiple positions in a match, but I understand that you can now do that too now with Gnubg. A third feature I also like is that Snowie actually shows 95% confidence intervals (at least for certain kinds of equities), but on the other hand, other aspects of the way it displays results annoy me. My bottom line: Although all three bots are excellent ("world class"), as a former Snowie and current Gnubg user, I couldn't think of any feature or attribute of Snowie's that I'm missing enough to mention as an "advantage" for Snowie.
