It is no secret that I am highly prejudiced toward ExtremeGammon, but having said that, there is a reason I recommend it to my students and anyone that asks: it is only $50 compared to Snowie at $400, and though GNU is free, I believe that ExtremeGammon is far easier and graphically more pleasant for beginners and intermediates.

It is also more accurate according to Depreli and other studies, including some I have done and published; and it is also much faster.

Experienced players around the world can make their own judgments and compare, and as we have seen, many of the top players in the world (such as Neil and Mochy) have publicly endorsed Extremegammon and have stated they believe it is best.

I think it would be a disservice to casual players who come to the USBGF site to be told that they can learn much from a bot and they should pick GNU, Snowie, or ExtremeGammon without letting them know the differences in price and features.
