I approach this by to putting myself in Chocolate's shoes. What would s/he like to do when I am finished making my play?

Bosco is behind in the race and has a better homeboard, so hitting (and attacking) should be its primary GP. The juiciest targets I can create are on my barpoint (after playing 5[2]) and on the 21-point -- the next homeboard point in line for opp.

Thus, after playing 24/23 with the ace, I'm down to two candidate deuces: 13/11 and 24/22. Less obvious to me now, but I would stay on the 24-point (consistent with my earlier tactics -- the least attractive hitting spot for Werner) and play 13/11, creating a diverse builder which is only hit (this turn) with 2/36 rolls.

Conclusion: 24/23, 13/11.
