In Response To: Carol Cole's Son Did Similar Thing in Racquetball (Paul Weaver)

Chris Cole won the US National Singles title in 1992. I was at the event, but did not personally know Chris (or Carol) at the time. If this were the year of the self-call you refer to, it did not cost him the title. Unfortunately, I am not aware of the situation myself.

That said, his reputation is impeccable and includes receiving the Award for Fair Play by the International Olympic Committee in 1995.
