When I was playing a considerable amount of racquetball from the mid-70's to the mid-80's the racquets were considerably smaller than today's racquets. I've not played with such a larger racquet, but I can imagine it might be harder to duplicate my backhand stroke with such a large racquet.

We played racquetball every day with metal Ektelon racquets and I had to replace them much more often than anyone else -- I think the major difference was the added metal fatigue from the high stresses imposed on the racquet by my backhand.
