Comments on the Covlin Story

after having scanned the article and not knowing Rod, beyond the confines of this forum. I can see firm evidence of a crime. The character assassination of Mr. Covlin by the afore mentioned rag.
That being said, Mr. Covlin's entire life hangs in the balance. Backgammon is a game. His life and that of his children is at risk. To ask him, based on this piece, to step down from the position is offensive. Were I in his position, I might not even remember that I had any USBGF affiliation. The USBGF should not be asking anything of Rod, until he can spare the time. The USBGF should not be taking any position what-so-ever --- as they have less than no evidence that a crime has been committed and even less evidence that Rod committed said "crime".
Rod undoubtably cares for the game and I hope that he will be able to continue his participation in any BG activities as he sees fit.
