If I kill two checkers now what good will it do me even if I do get a shot later and hit it? I play 13/10 13/7. Even if Black rolls a 1, I will usually get a direct return shot.

13/4 is worth a quick look because sometimes leaving a double shot is worth it if it yields more return shots or gives Black much more trouble when he doesn't hit, but here it must be a whopper. Similarly I see no merit in playing 18/15.
