When my opponent runs with 65 I like to split. White has no development and ugly stacks that he wants to develop into builders. By splitting before White unloads, I threaten to have first shot at any blots. Once he has the builders in place, I'm the one under threat if I split.

13/11 does have the advantage of defending against the back man running, but I don't think it's enough of an incentive.

13/8 24/22.
