Jason, I agree, this is also how I approach the OLM.

This position could lead to a few interesting theoretical questions: Did the split become stronger of weaker vis-a-vis builders down now that the computer escaped a checker? Same for the slot versus builders down? Same for the slot versus the split? And in all cases, why?

I probably should have voted 13/11, BTW. In contrast to 52 on the opening roll, we are down in the race. So compared to a 52 on the opening roll, strategically we should be more inclined to build than to split. I did not weight that enough when I voted.
