Stick: When I see people take this kind of cube I always ask myself what it is they see that I'm blind to.

You're asking the wrong question. It's what I'm blind to that you see.

You're losing in every aspect of this game.

I get that.

You're getting beat fairly bad in the race, you haven't escaped your last man which is not at the edge of a 4 prime, you get gammoned significantly more than the fluke gammons which you win.

I get all that.

So why do I err in this position? I misevaluate the degree to which I'm losing all of these things, and think that all of my little optimistic things add up to a take.
