I would have called that 20 moves. I ask because earlier in the thread you said you can get back to starting position in 6 rolls. Do you mean 6 rolls total or 6 by each player?

I call it either 20 rolls (or 20 ply) or 10 moves.

Earlier, I said 6 rolls, meaning 3 rolls by each player, or 3 moves total. (I also mentioned a 5-roll and 4-roll version, therefore taking 2.5 moves and 2 moves, respectively.)

I am borrowing the "move" definition from chess. As I recall, if each player plays 23 times, the game is considered to have gone 23 moves (or 46 ply).

Sorry for the confusion.
