Novice Poker Question

Texas No-Limit Holdem. Short-stacked player A goes all-in, B and C stay in the game.

1. Terminology question: Is it correct that the "main pot" is the amount which is contested between players A, B and C (i.e. three times the original stack of player A) and the "side pot" is made up of all the additional bets player B and C put in?

2. Assuming the terminology that is implied by a positive answer to question 1: If player B makes player C fold after A has gone all-in, is player C still eligible to win the main pot?

Thank you (yes, I tried to google it, but it seems I can find supporters for both possible answers re question 2)
