Ethics Question

I'm playing online in an important tournament and someone watching gives me a play I am sure is right, but I hadn't seen it yet...and maybe would not have. I didn't make the play, since I'd already set something else up but was still looking. Lost the game as a result. I wish people would never put me in that situation! If you can't shut up, please don't watch.
