I'd like to thinks so - but probably not. Guess the lesson - its easy to come up with the lesson when you know the right play - is to make blue roll a good number rather than hope he rolls a bad one. And gnus play also does the most to cover the blot when missed. On the down side gnu's play doesn't help white escape - I guess gnu sees higher priorities such as preventing the prime from getting longer - even at the risk of getting another checker sent back.
