I had no idea what was correct here. Hard to see why 13/3* is correct by such a large margin when there are other seemingly constructive things to do -- cover the 1pt against a direct shot, make the bar point to help with containment, escape a back checker from behind a growing prime, go for an advanced anchor while Op is on the bar. For humans (except John), it's tough to decide between these widely varying approaches, yet hitting is a huge stand out in the rollout.

I'm assuming the cube is a big factor, and that, even with the extra exposure, the tempo is important. I'm also trying to access the relevance to another type of position -- one where Op has made an advanced anchor and is building a prime. It's often correct to split into the face of that growing prime despite the risk, since staying back is even riskier. Here, White hasn't yet made the prime, so Blue has another approach. Rather than risk splitting into the prime, he can be proactive in aborting White's advanced anchor while keeping his own anchor as security.

I'm not sure that's what's going on here, but it may be part of it.
