Maybe too good? If doubled, pass. It also helps to know your opponent, how well he plays the checkers and cube. I don't know Eli so no opinion.

It might be slightly too good. Apart from 55 and maybe 44, I don't see rolls that threaten to potentially lose the double out, and I guess you win some 3-4% gammons from here. But if you go this route, you may have difficult decisions along the line about when to recube and when not.

In practice, I think double is the reasonable action to take. As kibitzer, I would not have a strong opinion about both the decision to double and to take - both also depend on how you assess the strength of each other.
