What was I thinking when I sent this cube? I was hoping that he would pass. Of course I wasn't too unhappy when he took because what more can I ask for than being 94-95% to win the match, but I still would have rather he passed.

If you know that it really is a pass, then you should hope he takes, (i.e. makes a cube error.)

However, the other approach would be to wait to advance the snake two more notches, then double him out. Most of the slime vig is rolling something stupid as you advance the snake, and much of that disappears when the snake doesn't have far to go to complete the closout.

I feel your pain.
