Database of Positions and Rollouts

As demonstrated by this forum, the bg community has a a huge number of rollouts of interesting positions. Can we save these in a form that is more useful and more permanent than the forum postings?
Perhaps when posting a position to the forum, the position could optionally be uploaded to a shared database. Others could then download the XG position itself (a file in .xgp format) rather than just a picture of the position. The potential uses of this are many including: keeping a more permanent record of forum positions, allowing users to search for particular positions (or types of positions), other users extending rollouts, evaluating variations in positions (what if it were a money game? what if the blot on the 9pt was safe on the 8pt?), etc. etc.
Just as this forum is open to all and shared by all, this database would also be public property. No one owns it or profits from it. It simply allows the community to share and store information.

which shows rollouts of some third roll positions kindly provided by Miran Tuhtan.
I am a programmer and database specialist who has developed other db driven web sites. I would be willing to build this and, in the short term, host the db and web interface to it.
If this is of interest to you, I solicit your comments and input. In particular:
i) What information should be stored for each position? Initially, the db will be *very* simple, but your "wish list" would be useful for long range planning.
ii) What is the best way for users to search the db and find positions?
