Blue can play 7/5 6/0 without creating a lot of wastage. White must play 7/1 7/5, which wastes quite a lot.

Haven't thought it through, and don't use EPC much. It's true, Blue can use any six to take a man off the six point while White has to play 7/1. How important is that compared to the simple fact that if both players roll 6-2, White is a roll behind. Indeed, with any nondoublet Blue has 14 checkers left, and White has 15.
