If Blue plays bar/20, there are no good aces. I play bar/24 18/13. My plan is to get the 6 backmost checkers onto points where the do more good -- like in or covering my outer board. It'd be nice to get the 3 spares on the six point into the game, too, either making good board points or recirculating, but I don't think 6/1* is the way to do that. 6/4*, 6/3*, yes ... but not 6/1*. About the only good thing it does is prevent White from making his 5 point next turn with the few rolls do that.

For White, it's too early to know where all his back checkers want to go, but the obvious plan is to make the 5 point and hit a blot or two.
