I believe you are correct, Chase (though of course I hope Xavier will chime in and explain in detail).
I also think it would be nice if Xavier would change it so that seeds ARE reproducible. I'm not sure it's important for David's four-score purposes (though it doesn't hurt), but it could be important for (a) tracking down a bug (or eliminating it as a possibility) when contemplating an outlier rollout result, and (b) for reducing the variance when cross-pollinating (e.g., combining the data from 41S-63R in a 41S-54 rollout).
I have spent countless hours exposing corrupt Gnu rollout results by rerolling with the same seed (on a different version or machine), which I never could have done if the seeds were not reproducible. I don't mean to accuse any of XG's past, present or future results of corruption, but if they ever are it would be really useful to have a way to find out.
