In Response To: Chicago ABT Finals (David Rockwell)

My best guess is that there probably is a mathematical way to determine what is fair given some estimate of the odds of winning money after re-entering. But clearly I was offering what I believed was "fair" in that, if someone had offered me the same deal, I would have accepted it (and I was a seeded player and the player I offered it to was not, so presumably, I had better odds of winning money than he did). Further, "fair" is a matter of supply and demand...if he could have gotten a better deal elsewhere, he would and could surely take it.

But "fair" is not the issue here...the issue is whether or not the tournament director, or ANYONE should express his opinion in the middle of a private discussion that he happened to overhear, especially when there is a negotiation in progress.

The issue is whether Rory should know to keep his fucking mouth shut when he's been warned by me, and just about everyone in the world of backgammon, that he should keep his fucking mouth shut. The issue is whether or not even if he can't keep his mouth shut, maybe he should be just a little more careful with someone who went out of his way to help his tournament and support his tournament (me) even after I had had so many problems with him in the past. The issue is Rory, not fairness.

How many times does he have to piss me off, and how many times do I have to ask him to please stay away from me and leave me alone before he gets the message? That's the issue.
