to play 51

eXtreme Gammon Version: 1.14

When I see position like this, I always play by feeling or by poor analyze , such as "I play safe because his board is too strong" or "I hit 1 point because my 6p is stacked".

What is the proper way to get it right ? Not only over the board, but how should we study the game for future , unknown positions.

Remember bunch of reference positions and find similar one? Reading next roll from 21 to 66 and compare them? Just play tons of games to sharpen up your feeling?

Any comments are highly welcome. However please not going too far away from this specific position above. Thanks.
