FIBS tourney match 06/06/10 #2

Now for a series of bearin/bearoff plays. These look boring (and they are), but my total EMG loss was 0.040 from the point that contact was broken, so I'm doing something wrong, and losing 0.040 in equity is nothing to sneeze at. I put my actual weak moves and my thought process OTB.

The score is: White 6, Blue 0 (match to 9 points)

#1: I played 11/5, on the presumption that an empty 5 point in the bearoff is bad bad bad.

#2: I played 13/11 10/6, but I think now that this doesn't look very nice. My play leaves no direct bearin to the 4 point, which is my danger spot now.

#3: 12/4 seems OK, it plays to the important four point, but then I played 11/3.

#4: I just played this too quickly. Although 4/2 spreads out the checkers, it makes four dangerous. Once the four point is emptied, fours become bad, whereas twos can always be played profitably somewhere.
