I'll be giving a poster session at AMATYC (American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges)annual conference in Boston in November.

Title: -- Backgammon: A Plentiful Source of Mathematical Examples 50-Word Summary: Backgammon is a strategy game with a random element. With very minimal explanation of the game, it can be used to illustrate many undergraduate math topics including probability, applications of symmetry, applications of mental mathematics, combinatorics, and dynamic programming.
