Unusual opening moves

In a recent e-mail, Timothy Chow made reference to a post in which Stick indicates that Mary Hickey sometimes plays opening 62R (Run, 24/16) online, and he recalls David Rockwell saying that someone at his club always plays opening 62$ (Slot, 13/5).

And William Womack adds, "Playing at my local club I see 62R and 62$ with some regularity..."

I'm curious if anyone else has seen unorthodox opening moves in his/her club or at tournaments with any sort of regularity (not just a onetime play) in recent memory -- any that are NOT on my "within .02" (for money) list below:

21 S$
31 P
32 SDZ
41 S$
42 P
43 DZSU
51 S$
52 SD
53 P
54 SD
61 P
62 S
63 SR
64 PRS
65 R

Key: S = Split, Z = reverse split, $ = Slot, P = Point, R = Run, D = Down, U = Up.

Nack
