Airplane On a Conveyor Belt

Apparently gas turbine aircraft gain initial speed using wheel based power since the turbines can't suck in sufficient air to function properly from a stationary position. Then the turbines switch on to give the final boost required for takeoff. You may notice this next time you're flying :)
In that case, only a propeller based aircraft can take off from a moving conveyor as was proved in an episode of Mythbusters!
