Oops! Sorry I just did some research and it appears to be total bullshit. Back when we were discussing this paradox at uni, one of my classmates did some research and claimed only a propeller based aircraft can take off from a conveyor. It appears to be incorrect since after doing a little research myself, I found out there is no power attached to the wheels of aircraft at all. Even when taxing between runway and terminal they just use a tiny amount of thrust.
