You need some statement to the effect of what X Y & Z know about each other (and know about what they know, etc.)

Isn't that an obvious implicit assumption? It's pretty hard to nail down everything! If I post a backgammon position, should I list all the assumptions I want readers to make?

1. Assume each side is trying to win.
2. Assume each side knows the other is trying to win.
3. Assume each side knows the other knows the other is trying to win, etc.

(Don't answer that!) :-)
