When looking through these texts, I experimented with problems where the cube is not in the middle. Consequently, I didn't tend to investigate those positions with centered cube. Examples from "Modern Backgammon" include 1-15, 2-3, 2-4, 2-10, 3-43, 3-44, 4-24 and 6-42. Positions 3-34, 3-35, 3-42 and 4-25 also exhibited aspects of this phenomenon although the best checker plays didnt change. As explained above, this list is not exhaustive.

I will include a lit of similar positions from "New Ideas in Backgammon" once compiled.
