I'll slot the 5 here. Thematically (as Stick said), anchor then find the other number. I dont care about the spare on the 8 (there will always be another spare to put on the 8), also, the prime I really want is either 1-6 or 2-7, neither of which includes the 8pt, so since my opp is on my acepoint, I am going to use the 8pt spares.

The value in that advanced anchor is so good, even more so when you start to make the game more complex by hitting and slotting.

I really hate hitting long from the 6pt, in so many positions, its so unthematic, and counterintuitive. I dont even like doing it with 55! (I still do however..). Additionally, things like a 43 where you can hit two early game, I prefer to hit one and bring down the 6 away cover.
