I didn't know that I didn't know how to play this kind of position

Popular opinion now seems to think that Rumsfeld wasn't so dumb after all to talk about unknown unknowns. I didn't realize how poorly I understood the positions below until I blundered my way through them. And in fact I still don't understand them. But at least now they're known unknowns.
