USBGF Prime Time Backgammon

I’m delighted to announce the inaugural issue of PrimeTime Backgammon, the electronic bi-monthly magazine of the U.S. Backgammon Federation posted today on our website at usbgf.org . This stunning new magazine includes analytic articles by Kit Woolsey and Malcolm Davis, as well as feature stories on Founding Sponsors Patrick and Carla Gibson; winners of the USBGF Howard Ring Memorial Quiz; a future backgammon star, 13-year old Sybil Sha; the UCLA Chess and Backgammon Club; and much more. A longer version of the Kit Woolsey article on his match with David Rockwell at the Michigan Summer Championships with eXtreme Gammon analyses is also posted on our website.

This first issue is being made available to all on a complimentary basis. Future issues will be available to Premium and Youth members only, as well as Founding Sponsors.

We’re also delighted to announce that we have awarded an honorary lifetime membership to tennis star Ana Ivanovic. As you’ll note on the cover story of the magazine, Ana is a backgammon enthusiast who plays backgammon when it rains at Wimbledon. We’re continuing to reach out to celebrities in the sports, entertainment, and games worlds to pique the interest of thousands of people to the endlessly fascinating and challenging game of backgammon.

While you’re on the website, check out the many new features and give us feedback on what you find useful and what else you’d like for us to make available. We anticipate having an online membership registration system in place by mid-September.

USBGF is a non-profit players’ organization dedicated to work on your behalf to achieve your objectives. We’d love to have you as a member if you haven’t yet joined. We need your support and ideas. We’ve been listening to your suggestions, and welcome more!
