Speaking of clocks....

Here is suggestion to players but also and mainly TDīs.

One of the advantages of clocks is to run a smooth schedule and be able to predict the time a round takes.

At the same time, we have rules, clearly stating how many breaks and for how long, each player is entitled to during a match.

But.... On many occasions, I have experienced that a clocked match took longer than expected because players took too many and/or too long breaks.

Unfortunately, itīs impossible for the staff to supervize all ongoing matches and we need some cooperation and understanding from players in this matter.

My suggestion to prevent the delays would be to add the break times (for example 2 breaks of 10 minutes for each per player for an 11 point match) to the total bank time on the clock and have the clocks run. That way, players can decide if they want to take a break at all or have more breaks than 2 or longer breaks than 10 minutes - their time is running. And TDs know how long a match takes at a max.

Any comments?
