USBGF Marketing Plans-Help Sought

This is an appeal for copy (written material) that will help us land members. I am asking for your help because I believe we will get constructive suggestions that will improve our presentations.

We are seeking potential members from Backgammon, Bridge, Chess, Scrabble, Go, and Poker playing sites. We will place links on many such sites. At the link, we will have testimonials from people prominent in these games.

As a theoretical example we might have a banner on a poker site that says “Find out what game Gus Hansen prefers over Poker and why”. What should the testimonial from Gus say? What is it in particular about Backgammon that should appeal to Poker players? What should the testimonials say about these other games? Are there particular characteristics about Backgammon that appeal to players of all these games in general, and are there any as well, specific to a particular game?

After reading the testimonials the potential member would be linked to our home page.

For the backgammon playing sites players, we plan to take them to our Why Join section of our site. Please take a look at this section on our site and let us know if it fills the bill or not, and if not, what does it need. Our site is www.USBGF.org.
