42-pip low-wastage position vs 42-pip big-wastage position

White's position below has low wastage and high variance. Black's position has greater wastage and lower variance. Those who are smart enough to figure out how to use GNU can ask it for the wastage of these two one-sided 42-pip positions.

Check out the second position posted below, where both sides have 36 pips, but it is a big pass.
