Killing Opponent is OTT

With regard to the Tip of the Day on Backgammon Lessons by Phil Simborg - whilst fully sharing the quoted sentiments on inadequate dice shaking/rolling - surely killing the opponent is excessive? Maiming him seems sufficient. (Ladies always excepted.) This will provide him with a permanent reminder as to his obligations as a player and gentleman. (Alternatively, a baffle box could save a lot of bloodshed.)
