Online Backgammon NATIONS CUP 2010
Throughout September,October and November, international team competition in online backgammon was played on the GridGammon server. Total 28 national teams participated including some of the BG giants, from all inhabitable continents.
Tournament idea was motivated by the quote of Masayuki Mochizuki I found on the internet: "I would like to someday see an international team tournament in which, not just a few, but all of the world's backgammon-playing countries participate".

BRONZE medal - GREECE (Charis Christidis, Christos Groutsos, Manos Mastorakis, Giorgos Kleitsas, Kostas Chiotinis)

I wish to thank all players, GridGammon server and numerous real-life backgammon federations from Europe that supported this tournament, I wish this to be a motivation for countries outside Europe to be formally organized with their federation/association of players.
There are plans for Online NationsCup 2011in second half of next year.
