Neither Negro or Negroid are insulting are politically incorrect words in the U. S. You stated that you are not a native English speaker. So perhaps, you are unaware that the "N" word refers to what was an extremely derogative term towards Black Americans. It is still very insulting. But, it is so commonly used by Black Americans, Hollywood screen writers, Black comedians, and Black actors, that it is sadly becoming more acceptable.
Black Americans after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 began to enjoy their new found equal citizenship in the U. S. It became popular for Black Americans to refer to themselves as "Black". It was a source of pride for Black Americans emerging out of second class citizenship. Before hand it was more polite to call Black Americans "Colored" or "Negro". Actually before the 1960's it was not not polite to refer to a Black American as "Black". However, before the 1960's it was not groslly insulting to call a Black American "Black".
Thus, the terms "Colored" and "Negro" are not insulting but are not prefered by Black Americans. The sentiment is best expressed in the popular 1960's song from the Godfather of Soul James Brown -- "Say it Loud. I'm Black and I'm Proud"
