4-ply queue, Dec 1 update

Posted By: Nack Ballard
Date: Wednesday, 1 December 2010, at 5:34 p.m.

With yesterday's flurry of activity, I thought I'd better generate a new list. This post is a Dec 1 update of the XG 4-ply queue, previously updated on Nov 30.

In parentheses are the margins (in thousandths) of the top two plays for Snowie, GnuBG and XG 3-ply rollouts, respectively (or for just Snowie and GnuBG if there are two numbers). A plus sign (+) indicates that at least one of the bots has a third play within 10.

Please note the new AtS section below the list of Replies.

A name to the right of a position denotes a rollout in progress (or booked on individual queue). Currently, our five active rollateers are: Alexandre, Claude, David (Rockwell), Miran and Neilkaz. There is no future commitment involved, but whoever would like to help: please post a message identifying the position you've chosen as you're starting the (XG 4-ply) rollout.

When you finish a rollout, please post the result on this forum and e-mail the file to Stick.

Opening AtS: This is a new section of the 4-ply queue. The opening roll is followed by the result (preceded by d, s or g, for dmp, gammon save and gammon go, respectively). I have nacbrac'ed the results of which I'm currently aware (if anything looks erroneous or incomplete, please let me know). If no results are listed, then either the margin isn't within 20 (thousandths) or we already have an adequate 4-ply result.

Opening d (double match point)
21 d[$ S13] /15
32 d[S D4 Z6] /20
41 d[$ S2] /69
43 d[Z U2 D4 S5] /46, d[D S2 U2 Z4] <15
51 d[S=$ R10] /46*15, d[$ S4] <20
52 d[S D5] /31
54 d[S R8] /31
62 d[S R13] /5
63 d[S R6] /16, d[S R5] <5
64 d[R S2] /46

Opening g (gammon go)
51 g[$ S10] /20, g[$ S14] <20
52 g[D S11] /15
62 g[$ S11] /41, g[$ S15] <5
64 g[P S16] /15
65 g[R S16] /15

Opening s (gammon save)
32 s[S Z12 D16] /15*10
41 s[S $9] /15, s[$ S3] <5
54 s[S R17] /36
62 s[S R13] /15

[For file naming of AtS rollouts, the format of roll, hyphen, and lower-case letter is recommended. For example, for opening 21 at dmp, name it "21-d.xg." Or even better, "21-d-4-fl.xg" (where the 4 indicates 4-ply and "fl" are your first and last name initials -- e.g. Nack Ballard would be nb) as there will likely be others who later roll out the same position.]
