Five Important Factors to Consider in Evaluating Racing Cubes

From Phil Simborg's Web site: "TIP OF THE DAY: If it’s a pure race, the pip count is a major consideration, but distribution and checkers off are also important, and of course, don’t forget who is on roll."

Phil lists four factors:

1. Pip count.

2. Distribution.

3. Number of checkers off.

4. Knowing who is on roll.

May I please add a fifth consideration.

5. Keep in mind that if you are have been rolling poorly in recent races, you are overdue to start rolling higher numbers, so you should take racing positions that XG (not privy to this info) thinks are passes. On the other hand, if you know that you opponent has been rolling small numbers in recent races, you have to figure that he is overdue to start rolling some big sets, so you should pass positions that XG thinks are close takes.

I give Phil my permission to post this important concept on his site.
