Do "New Ideas In Backgammon" rollouts have to be revisited?

I am about to re-read Kit Woolsey's New Ideas In Backgammon (which I recall reading somewhere that Mochy credits as his revelation that Backgammon is a wonderful game).

I undestand NIIB to say that the best plays in the problems were ascertained with JellyFish rollouts.

Neil K mentions that JellyFish is an archaic bot (http://www.bgonline.org/forums/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=91787), indicating that XG and GNUbg are the current standards.

At my level, Kit's analysis should be the gospel, but, for those of you at the higher echelons, I am wondering whether the problem solutions in NIIB need to be reevaluated with XG or GNUbg.
