Herb Gurland beat Pat Gibson in the semis. Herb raced to a 8-0 lead, but the final score was 15-14. Norm Wiggins beat Ray Fogerlund 15-6 in the other semifinals.

In the super jackpot, Ed O'Laughlin (who at 72 is possibly the strongest player in the tournament) is currently playing Gregg Cattanaugg in the semis. In the other semifinal, Justin Nunez is currently playing Fred Kalantari.
