Congratulation to Ed, Herb, Norm, and Justin!

Congratulations to Herb Gurland for winning the Nevada State Backgammon tournament and to Norm Wiggins for placing second. Average age of the finalists = ~70. Well done!

In the Masters, congratulations go out to the very talented Ed O'Laughlin and upcoming star Justin Nunez for finishing first and second, respectively. It was a very tough match and Ed was down to under a few percent several times, I hear. Justin did have one major blunder-he messed up the average age of the finalists, preventing the Masters from competing with the Open for oldest pair of finalists. Ed certainly did his part!

Congratulations to Pat Gibson for being a semi-finalist in the Open, backing up his impressive win of a year ago with another strong showing!

In the intermediate Tim Lawless and John Calcott were the finalists, with Tim grabbing the gold. Rob Ring, brother of deceased great Howard, was a semifinalist.

Congratulations to Harvey Gillis on another impressive victory in winning the 88 player blitz!
