Stick's "stack and straggler" note

I remember to have read something written by Stick, wherein he said that the last point of take (the difference in terms of EPC), is the average number of rolls of the doubler minus 3.

It was in the analysis of one the positions discussed on the learning-center page.

I can't find that note (article) any more. Can someone help, please?

Where did you take that formula from, Stick?
