Stopping a rollout early based on JSD

A while back, Philippe Michel asked about the effect of stopping a rollout early based on the JSD separation between the two plays.

would it be possible to determine some good practice for stopping rollouts at some number of JSDs?

This question has been asked before, and I have never really known the answer, so I wrote a simulation to find out. Here is a quick writeup on what I found:
