My first inclination was to just get the runner out of there with 24/14 - go up ten pips and hope white has to abandon his 8 or 9 point so we can break anchor safely. But this leaves 12 shots from his anchors, and I'm sure White would like nothing better than to transition away from her ill-timed backgame.

So perhaps making the bar point is better. I'm not too worried about leaving a blot on the 22 but the bar point anchor isn't as much of an asset as usual since we'll probably just abandon it in a move or two.

Dumping checkers behind his anchors by making the 2 point seems anti-positional.

I'm going to go with my first inclination, but I'm not sure it's right. 24/14
