XG2 Publication Export and Open Office

I am still on an old XP machine but when I attempt to paste the Publication Export from XG into Open Office Writer I get a "requested clip board format is unavailable" error. It works with MS Word. Anyone know if there is a fix for this? I upgraded to the most recent version of open office.

Note that it gives the same error if you do a paste special as html, if you paste the unformatted text you get the raw html.
